The Carrier Unmanned Aviation program office (PMA-268) is responsible for managing the MQ-25A

Stingray while continuing to prove unmanned capabilities in the dynamic carrier environment.

Mission: The MQ-25A Stingray is the next step in the Navy’s evolutionary integration of unmanned

air systems into the carrier strike group’s operational environment. As part of our incremental

approach this will allow the Navy to deliver carrier-based unmanned capability to the fleet faster.

When fielded, MQ-25A will deliver a high-endurance organic aerial refueling and ISR capability.

Unmanned aerial refueling will extend the performance, efficiency and safety of manned aircraft

and impart longer range and greater endurance to enable the execution of missions that otherwise

could not be performed. MQ-25A will help to preserve the power projection dominance of the nation’s carrier fleet.

Description: MQ-25A Stingray is a three-segment system consisting of a control system and connectivity segment, a carrier segment, and an air segment. The government will function as lead system integrator for the MQ-25A Stingray system. The system will maximize use of existing technology to launch and control the air vehicle, transfer data, and support persistent surveillance and precision strike operations. The system will be integrated into carrier-controlled airspace operations and will be maintained in accordance with standard fleet processes as tailored for unmanned applications.

HTii provides on and off-site support to PMA-268 through Requirements Management support, Systems Engineering Development, and Change Management support. We utilize the industry proven IBM Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) database. HTii provides the program office an in-depth and comprehensive understanding of past and current requirements, as well as the ability to incorporate new requirements as they are developed. HTii also utilizes the IBM JAZZ suite of tools which includes, Rational Team Concert, Rational Software Architect, Rhapsody, and Rational Design Manager. Our goal at HTii is to develop tools, processes, and procedures to transform data into actionable information.
